My Sunday Loser Brunch
(sung approximately to the tune of the Rodgers & Hart classic,
My Funny Valentine)
Lyrics and spoken-word intro by Dave Zarrow
Performed at the December 1998 Loser brunch.
Well, it was a lovely brunch but, well, I'm not feeling all that good. I think
it was something I ate, maybe that stuff with the mushrooms. Anyway, you know
that Greg Arnold, Herndon and Dave Ferry, Leesburg and I have, as the Dueling
Losers Band, performed many classic rock and roll song parodies. This wasn't
really my thing. I just kind of went along with them for the good of the
group. This morning, if I don't die first, I'm going to sing a little
something a little different, something that will show you the sensitive side
of Dave Zarrow, Herndon. This is for you. Enjoy!
My Sunday Loser Brunch,
With this comic Loser Bunch,
Right here in Jennifer's House of Pain....(Yes, I'm in pain!)
(And now you feel it too!)
The food looks incredible,
But it's not quite edible,
I think I'm gonna hurl again...... (show me the drain)
Now my knees are feeling weak,
And I'm much too ill to speak,
"Well, at least I got ink this week" with Mrs. Hart
So please don't try to run from me, just dial 9-1-1 for me,
Everything's going dark, my dear
Can we come back next year,
For our Holiday Loser Brunch.
